I can't say enough good things about this series. For the reviewer who criticized the way some of the women are portrayed in the stories as nagging or contradicting their husbands, I disagree with her idea that this presents a bad role model for girls. It presents life as it sometimes is--and it is good for us to see it, and we can choose to avoid it. For as many nagging women in the stories, there are soft, gentle women, too, in the stories. The stories present the bible as it really is--full of sinners and saints:-) The best thing about the stories is how they take a bible story and turn it into "show, don't tell." They really bring the people in the bible to life for kids (and adults!). Also clear in each story is the Christian message. So well done! And the best thing is that this series brings the bible to life for our autistic son, too. We listen in the car, and when we reach the end, we start over! This series is available on audible.com too if you don't want the hassle of the cd's.
