Description

The 515 sneaker offers a modern classic silhouette you can wear everyday in a casual workplace, hanging out, or on the streets. The ultra-soft EVA foam midsole helps keep you comfortable, while the solid rubber outsole is designed to deliver superior support no matter where you wander. New Balance, is dedicated to helping athletes achieve their goals. It's been their mission for more than a century. It's why they don't spend money on celebrity endorsements. They spend it on research and development. It's why they don't design products to fit an image. They design them to fit. New Balance is driven to make the finest shoes for the same reason athletes lace them up: to achieve the very best.

I usually really love New Balance shoes. I wanted a brighter color for a different style, so I ordered these royal blue, red, and silver shoes. The shoes are nice and light, and they fit well enough. I ordered a 2E width, thinking it would give me a little extra space (I like a somewhat loose shoe), but they were pretty snug on the sides of my foot, so I'd say they fit somewhat narrowly.I love the color, and they look great with blue and red shirts and shorts. The build quality is where I start to feel a little regret about buying these. Upon opening, I had to pull a few little dried dollops of glue off my shoe where the red line above the sole meets the body of the shoe. Also, the front part where the sole comes up at the toe kick has a slight gap in the edges. The worst part is that the front of the shoe looks a little bull-nosed. I've never seen a New Balance shoe look like this. In fact, I've never seen any athletic shoe look like this. I get the impression that perhaps the sole and the toe-kick (since it's a runner, it's all one piece) are pulled a little too tightly in manufacturing so it has pulled the toe in a little tighter to the body, creating this weird "bull-nosed" appearance. A passerby probably won't notice it, but you will. This effect alone dropped my opinion of the shoe by a full star. When all is said and done, I feel like I like the color and style enough that it tilts my opinion more toward the positive side of the equation. I won't be wearing these every day, and maybe if I intended to do so I might not be so lenient.
