Due to the escapades of two playful and ingenious chihuahuas, I just purchased a second of these bibles (don't ask!). I have to say that this Bible is my favorite Bible and in the top 3 of favorite translations.It is very well made, easy to read, easy to highlight and mark with notes. Even though it is not touted as a 'note-taking' Bible, there is room in the margins for brief notes and highlighting or underlining, if done with common sense and not pressing really hard, works fine and does not bleed through pages.It is a perfect size - big enough to be easily read, small enough to easily carry. The maps, glossary and helps are well done and very useful and the cross-referencing system is terrific.I have to say that I truly love this version. It has accuracy and readability without crossing the line into a version SO 'modern' and readable that it no longer even seems biblical.And it is sturdy - seriously. I'm not sure any Bible not made of stone and steel would have survived the chihuahua capers at my home :)I pray you choose this Bible and that its words bless you and your family for many years to come!
